Cement mixer motor overheating? I have a belle Cement Mixer which has just started to overheat once the drum is loaded. You can smell it coming from the motor and eventually it cuts out. I have then to press the resart button after it has cooled down and works fine again till you start loading the drum again

It was a simple design with some metal fabrication to mount the motor and the motor control valve. I ran two 1/2" hoses from my power beyond to the front and connected them into the motor control valve

Jul 23, 2020 · Make sure the drum gear is well greased as well as the mating gear and shaft. A 1/2 hp motor should run it no problem. Might be a motor issue if its been in the weather. Either way as John mentioned the larger motor will be fine also. Cheers Martin
Jul 04, 2013 · My mate has a cement mixer, the main switch was broke so he ripped it off.(hes not a spark!) there is the live neutral in, live neutral 2 motor and 2 thin blue wires. I have tried numerous different combinations but no joy in getting the motor spinning. Ne ideas?? They wud b appreciated! Thanks,

Jun 24, 2014 · The mixer is belt drive, and the gear drive itself is a pretty pretty crude casting. It is noisy when it runs, and noisier the farther you tip it toward horizontal. I threw in a small 1-2-3 mix with shovels full of portland, sand and gravel. Mixed great, no problem
